The Dargaville Aero Club is situated on the banks of the Northern Wairoa River just south of the town of Dargaville. It has a strong membership of 130 members and operates Dargaville airfield which has a 1000 metre limestone all weather strip and a grass runway during the summer months.

The club owns an 180hp STOL 172 Cessna and 2 recreational aircraft—a Texan and a Storch. The club offers PPL training with a B Cat Instructor and has 4 recreational instructors offering free instruction and theory tuition. Recreational exams can be sat at the Dargaville club.
